How your bike fits you is probably even more important than the bike itself. A good fit enables you and your bike to work in harmony – you can gain maximum benefits from your training and realise your competitive potential In addition, good bike fit will help you to avoid injury or re-injury |
However, bike fitting is more of an art than a science. We start by taking a full cycling history and discussing what you want to achieve, as well as the impact of any past injuries Then we look at you on your bike and methodically work our way through your position over the pedals, cleat placement, bar height etc. We have a variety of different components such as stems to help get your fitting perfect After your fitting we follow up on how it is working for you and make any adjustments Then it is up to you to just ride your bike! |
We are particularly interested in women’s bike fit because historically most components and bikes have been constructed around men’s needs. The situation is even more difficult if you are under 5’4” If you don’t feel comfortable on your bike, come for a fitting and we are confident that we can help. Fitting takes approximately 2 hours and you should bring your bike, shorts and shoes |
| If you would like a custom bike we can advise, measure you up and build the bike up for you. We can find a frame builder and liaise with him or her to make sure that you get exactly what you want and that it fits you perfectly |
